Built on the ground-breaking AMD RDNA™ 3 architecture with advanced AMD chiplet design
With AMD’s announcement of their latest RX 7900 Series Graphics Cards, Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd recently announced their own linup of graphics cards based on the RX 7900 series. As such, the linup consists of the Gigabyte Aorus Radeon RX 7900 XTX Elite 24G, Radeon RX 7900 XTX Gaming OC 24G, Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24G, Radeon RX 7900 XT Gaming OC 20G and Radeon RX 7900 XT 20G graphics cards. The cards feature AMD’s advanced chiplet design that deliver a balance of high performance coupled with high energy efficiency. This means you can play the latest games at 4K resolution at high framerates, whilst also being energy efficient.
Compared to the previous generation RDNA 2, the RDNA 3 architecture present in the Radeon RX 7900 series delivers up to 54% more performance per watt and also boasts what AMD calls the “world’s fastest chiplet interconnect”, which links the graphics and memory system chiplets at a speed of up to 5.3 TB/s . Added to this are 96 new unified compute units and second-generation AMD Infinity Cache™ technology. Furthermore, the cards include a 2.7x increased AI throughput and re-engineered compute units with second-generation raytracing technology providing upto 1.8x higher raytracing architectural performance when compared to previous generation RDNA 2 graphics cards (in select games).
The Aorus lineup of RX 7900 series graphics cards feature Gigabyite’s tried and tested Windforce cooling system, coprising of three fans with alternate spinning. The cooling system also makes use of a large vapor chamber connected directly to the GPU, aligned with composite copper heat pipes to maximize heat dissipation, so the card can run cooler while your games get hotter. The onboard dual-BIOS switch also allows users to allows users to choose between OC and Silent modes without having to install additional software as both modes are fined tuned by Gigabyte. The Aorus cards will also feature an upgraded version of Gigabyte’s RGB Halo, the company’s signature triple-ring RGB lights, offering addressable lighting effects on the rotating fans, customizable via Gigabyte’s RGBFusion app or Gigabyte Control Center
The Aorus Elite graphics cards comprise of aerospace-grade PCB coating and ULTRA DURABLE certified components. The improved power phase design and precise power control offer lower component temperature, less noise, and less signal interference. Furthermore, the upgraded metal back plate provides a more durable structure that prevents the graphics card from bending and damage over time. An Anti-sag bracket is also included with the graphics card for added support and gives it an extra touch of flair. Aorus Elite graphics cards also come with a 4-year warranty where the user needs to register the card online within 30 days of the purchase date to be eligible for the full 4 years.
The Radeon RX 7900 XTX Gaming OC 24G and Radeon RX 7900 XT Gaming OC 20G graphics cards are primarily focused on performance and stability. As such, they pack a host of useful feature such as the same Windforce cooling system seen on the higher end Aorus graphics cards and a similar vapor chamber. The Windforce fans make use of a graphene nano lubricant, which Gigabyte says extends the lifespan of the fans by 2.1x, delivering an almost identical lifespan to that of a double ball bearing fan, at significantly quieter sound levels. The cards also pack RGB lighting so you can customize it to match the rest of your system. There’s also an upgraded metal back plate along with an anti-sag bracket and ULTRA DURABLE certified components which as stated above, deliver higher performance at lower temperatures.
The Gigabyte Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24G graphics card is equipped with 6144 stream processors and 24GB of GDDR6 384-bit memory with 96MB of second-generation AMD Infinity Cache technology. In terms of outputs, the card comes with one HDMI port, two DisplayPort™ 2.1 ports and a USB TYPE-C port. The system power supply requirement is 800 watts. The GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7900 XT 20G graphics card is equipped with 5376 stream processors and 20GB of GDDR6 320-bit memory with 80MB of second-generation AMD Infinity Cache technology. The output includes an HDMI port, two DisplayPort 2.1 ports and a USB TYPE-C port. The system power supply requirement is 750 watts.
